Prime Minister Theresa May will attempt to silence her Brexit critics by delivering a ‘major speech’, which should offer some insight into the UK’s negotiating position.

The Conservative leader has been criticised widely for her lack of clarity regarding her Brexit intentions and objectives.

Theresa May has repeatedly revealed that “Brexit means Brexit”. However, it is unclear what “Brexit means Brexit” means. She recently added that they were seeking an “ambitious trade deal”. Again, it’s unclear what this means.

May will be joined by her foreign secretary Boris Johnson, the former London Mayor who has been involved in several bizarre moments since being given the job in Government. Most recently, it was reported that he told several EU ambassadors that he supported free movement, despite the Government’s hard stance on Brexit.

Brexit secretary David Davis will also join her. It is expected that the three will address the UK’s stance on several vital issues such as the single market and immigration.

Britain’s future is likely to be highly affected by whatever Brexit strategy the UK attain, so it’s important that the people know what exactly is happening, critics will argue.

The speech is expected to be delivered in January.

May will be wary of a post-Brexit slump having received numerous stark warnings from experts and industry analysts. It has been reported that a hard Brexit will risk UK food supplies.
